    I faced this problem a little while back and found out (thanks to other members
    here) that unless you're a subscribed user of zen.spamhaus.org, they allow only
    a very little number of queries for free and if you happen to go over the limit
    your query is not answered and you get that log entry.
    Try RBL check with only one service at a time (I use bl.spamcop.net ) to test
    it. If it works for some but not for others, then visit their web site and check
    their policies (this is provided, there's nothing wrong with your network
    conenction/DNS settings).
