I understand every organization is going to have their unique needs but
I'm looking for some general guidance or feedback from list members who
have been running Postfix a while...
I am planning to use Linux on x86 with the Debian stable tree. Currently
Debian's Postfix binary package is marked as "2.3.8-2+b1".
I'm generally comfortable in a shell and using ./configure, make, make
install, of typical sources...
Would it be encouraged/discouraged to jump right in to Postfix 2.4
Patchlevel 3 from the official site versus stock Debian packages? Or
stick with a binary package until a specific need for Postfix from
source crops up?
