Hello,
I'm using a configuration Postfix+Mysql+Amavisd-new for my SMTP relay
server.
Im trying to tune it. Using the Victor Duchovni's qshave script to watch
stat about the queue. In particular the active queue are growing (below
there is the first destination domain reported by the utility):
T 5 10 20 40 80 160 320 640 1280 1280+
TOTAL 5483 224 277 554 1469 1427 1513 11 0 0 8
MAILER-DAEMON 1501 105 150 243 498 313 186 0 0 0 6
I'm following the tips reported in the book of Ralf Hildebrandt, The
book of postfix, for solving the queue congestion, raising the limit on
the number of process and the smtp connection timeout:
smtp_connect_timeout = 10s
default_process_limit = 150
but nothing has happened.
I suspect moreover that it can be the spamscanner and the antiviruses
that consume a lot of time before forward the message to the correct
destination, by I don't know how to demonstrate this statement. I have
disabled one virus scanner, but no improvment has been get.
Any hint is welcomed!
BR,
rocsca
