No route to host

Hi,
I've migrated from an Imail server to a Linux mail server running postffix and courier. There is no problem when receiving emails. The server can also send emails but only within my organisation's network. When a user tries to send email outside our internal network, emails are not sent. I've checked the log files and i see lines like the following:"...connect to hotmail.com: no route to host"

Any ideas?
