    without further knowledge about the OS you are working on I am just
    guessing that you are missing header files for bdb.

    Some vendors call the relevant packages bdb-devel or libbdb-devel (or in
    general something that contains "devel").

    But in order to provide further help you need to provide more
    information about your environment.
