    Hello,

I'm just starting out with postfix and have run into an interesting
problem. I'm testing my setup and I've got this in my main.cf

    Mydestination = foo.com, mail2.foo.com, localhost

This is so mail sent from outside the server to will
be delivered to users. (we currently have mail for routed
to our existing exchange server until we convert to this new server).

My virtual file contains an entry for each user and an alias mailinglist
    such as:

            user1
            user2
            testlist-foo.com

Mail sent from outside to is delivered fine.

The problem I have is with the alias address. The file "testlist" has
    user1,user2

I can only send to that list from the local server, mail from the
outside sent to gets rejected as an unknown user.

If however I add a second entry to virtual:

Then it works fine, mail from outside to gets
routed to all the users in the list. My question is why can I sent
directly to from the outside but not to
     without the extra mapping.

    Jeff
