I am using the vacation program to create an autoresponse for a given
local user. I'll call it .
The autoresponder works like it's supposed to if I write directly to
.
But I created a virtual alias pointing to it. I'll call it
. I pointed to
. But if I send mail to
, it doesn't autorespond.
I'm not sure what because the headers of the sent message don't seem to
satisfy any of the exceptions specified in the vacation FAQ I am reading:
> No auto reply will be sent for any emails that have their "From:" header
> containing "???-REQUEST", "???-RELAY", "???-OWNER", "OWNER-???",
> "Postmaster", "UUCP", "MAILER", or "MAILER-DAEMON"' or if "Precedence: bulk"
> or "Precedence: junk" line is included in the mail headers. All these values
> are case insensitive.

and.htm)
Anybody know how I can get it to autorespond to mail sent to the virtual
address?
Thanx,
