    Hi,

When i do smtp on postfix box, i see some errors in
logs and SMTP server not responds for any commands
    "mail from:" "rcpt to:" etc

root at bh1:/opt/postfix-2.2.9# telnet localhost 25
    Trying 127.0.0.1...
    Connected to localhost.
    Escape character is '^]'.

    IN LOGS i see

    10:29:03,postfix/postfix-script,mail,info,[ID 197553
mail.info] starting the Postfix mail system
    10:29:04,postfix/master,mail,info,[ID 197553
    mail.info] daemon started -- version 2.2.9,
    configuration /etc/postfix
    10:29:16,postfix/smtpd,mail,crit,[ID 947731 mail.crit]
fatal: open database /etc/mail/aliases.dir: No such
    file or directory
    10:29:17,postfix/master,mail,warning,[ID 947731
    mail.warning] warning: process
    /opt/postfix-2.2.9/libexec/smtpd pid 13435 exit status
    1
    10:29:17,postfix/master,mail,warning,[ID 947731
    mail.warning] warning:
    /opt/postfix-2.2.9/libexec/smtpd: bad command startup
    -- throttling

    basically its looking for "/etc/mail/aliases.dir"

    not sure why?

I have checked /etc/postfix dir, there is no reference
to "/etc/mail/aliases.dir" in any conf file

    root at bh1:/etc/postfix# grep -i aliases.dir *
    root at bh1:/etc/postfix#

why its looking for /etc/mail/aliases.dir ?? is it
    some default alias file??

    my earlier build works fine
