flushing deferred mails doesn't work

    Hi..

I've been experienceing connection problems to a client's mailserver over the
weekend.. I have 320 mails in the deferred queue.. The connection problem was
the connection was timing out (from trying to telnet to thier mailserver and
from doing a traceroute, I had a feeling the my mail server's IP had found it's
way into a firewall "DROP" list..

Anyway, the connection issue seems to have been resolved now (i.e. the logs are
telling/showing me that the test mails I have sent this evening are getting
    through..

So, I thought super.. I'll postqueue -f and the 320 defered mails will vanish
and finally be delivered. Except that they all came back with the same timeout
    message.

Why would single test mails get through, but queued/deferred mails get a
    timeout?

I don't think this is a postfix is per se.. But we need to get these mails to
the clients mailserver, so any advice would be appreciated.

Although I've read the man pages for postqueue, flush and postsuper, I didn't
see an easy way to "flush" single mails (by Id).. Is there an easy way to do
this? I'd like to try re-queuing the deferred mails one at a time and see if
    that helps.

    Cheers

    Lydiard

Although a lot of list mail is being blocked from SORBS, (yes, I've seen that
thread), a few mails are getting through.. interesting? Or not?
