I outlined my experience with this in August in a thread titled "Poor
Man's Greylisting". I've been doing it for over a year, with no false
positives that wouldn't have been rejected by other means. The best
thing is that it reduces the load on Postfix, which never sees the
messages. It's also an effective solution to direct-to-MX spam, if you
don't require a real backup MX.
If anyone else has tried out this technique, I'd be interested to hear
of the results, especially on large sites.
