    2.2.23 should be alright, depending on your OS/distro - but it's always
    best to update to the latest stable. BDB 4.2.52 is very robust, if it's
    been patched with the 2 Sleepycat mandatory patches.

    If the problem occurred spontaneously as you write (ok one day, occurred
    the next), then it's possible you have a network problem.
