Hi again,
No, it does seem to run fine - I don't understand how this
has change unless it was due to the OS upgrade.
I have just re-added the startup item & the hostconfig entry
& it seems to be running as before, but without the previous error.
Logs for mail going through seem to have returned to normal too.
Sorry for my screw-up - just didn't understand the errors.
