Sorry for my delayed reply. The localhost is running AntiVirus "Vexira" which scans incoming and outgoing mails.
In order to understand it better, i think the problem has two parts that needs to be answered:
1- How does postfix calculates the delay for every message delivery???
2- How does this calculated "delay" affects the message's final delivery???
Please correct me if I am wrong in my assumptions below:
- How does it calculates the delay for the hosts which are far away on Internet ? Is it based on the round trip delay lets say for the following host in question for example its 170mses for which the delay it has attached to it is 15 and the local host which has less than 10ms reachability the delay is 0.
- How does this value of 15sec affects the message's delivery to the final destination even when we see the "status=sent" in every log message below. And there seems to be nothing holding up in the active queue. Now can it still add a delay of as much as 2 or 3 hours late delivery of the message to its final destination???

What is running on localhost?

This is a local server, it's close and faster to reach
