Nothing of this sort should be necessary:

    $ postconf -d | grep noti
    2bounce_notice_recipient = postmaster
    bounce_notice_recipient = postmaster
    delay_notice_recipient = postmaster
    error_notice_recipient = postmaster
    notify_classes = resource, software
