Generally, upgrading postfix is pretty painless.
Be sure to read AAAREADME, RELEASE_NOTES, and INSTALL that come
with the new version.
Seems the most frequent mistake people make is not reading and
following the directions.
Another mistake people make when upgrading is they
will copy their old config files back in place after the
upgrade, which isn't allowed because of syntax and format changes.
(see "most frequent mistake" above).
If you need a current rpm, there are links on the postfix web site. If
you use *BSD current postfix versions are available in the ports
collection.
