Hi all

I have a postfix machine sending out a lot of mail since last week, but now 
some of the people we are sending to has complained that our MTA is not 
following the RFC2822 spec, and that their "spam filtering 
solution" (whatever it is) is now blocking our mail.

The part in question is the 'from' field.

According to them, and their anti spam solution vendor, the from field in 
RFC2822 is in the format:

 "From:" mailbox-list CRLF

and not

"from:" mailbox-list CRLF

Now the questions are: 
- -Are the fieldnames in RFC2822 case sensitive ? Section 3.6.2. of RFC2822 
definately refers to it as "From:"
	
- -Are postfix using RFC2822 ?

- -I could not comfirm or deny the way we actually send the from field, how does 
postifx send it, uppercase or lowercase 'f' ?

Don't assume that open-source software is inherently insecure because crackers
