ack, I added the lines as suggested:
# set catchall account to point to daBoss (his choice, carpe diem)
@example.com somebogustext
@1.2.3.4 somebogustext
@example.com
@1.2.3.4 cameron at 1 dot 2 dot 3 dot 4
but when I recompile the virtual file:
sudo postmap /etc/postfix/virtual
I get the following warnings:
postmap: warning: /etc/postfix/virtual.db: duplicate entry: "@intrapromote.com"
postmap: warning: /etc/postfix/virtual.db: duplicate entry: "@216.220.51.20"
is this normal?
thanks,
cameron
