That's wrong.
Your installation is hosed.

That's the way it's supposed to look:

# ls -l /usr/sbin/sendmail
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Jul 2 2001 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> /usr/lib/sendmail
# ls -l /usr/lib/sendmail
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 440237 Nov 14 12:49 /usr/lib/sendmail
