I am not able to telnet to 216.239.16.104 25.
When I open up ipfw with the following I am still not able to telnet into that external mail server:
ipfw -f flush
ipfw add 100 allow all from any to any
Is it possible that my ISP is blocking this traffic?

You mean RELENG_4_7? -STABLE is at 4.9.
Port is already at 2.0.16 by the way.

So does telnet 216.239.16.104 25 work?
Sounds like a firewall issue.
