who is sasl_sender?

hi,
This is postfix-2.0.15/TLS/SASL(AUTH=PLAIN) -

I can see from my log 2 types of sasl authentication messages:

1. sasl_method=PLAIN, sasl_username=aaa
and
2. sasl_sender=

The first one looks OK it is our user, but who is 'sasl_sender' for
Postfix?
