Hi All:
I think I found why my SMTP AUTH is not working.
After recompiling the CYRUS SASL and POSTFIX when I tested the SASL
authentication with:
- testsaslauthd -u test -p test {got this error : connect() : No such
file or directory}
NOW if I use
- testsaslauthd -u test -p test -f /var/run/saslauthd/mux/mux {got : 0:
OK "Success.}
If after running postfix I tried to authenticate my mail client got
Aug 1 11:07:10 dakmail postfix/smtpd[25487]: warning: SASL
authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file
or directory
Aug 1 11:07:10 dakmail postfix/smtpd[25487]: warning:
c-66-176-22-187.se.client2.attbi.com[66.176.22.187]: SASL LOGIN
authentication failed
I compiled SASL with --enable-login and --with-saslauthd support.
I read the INSTALL and associated documents a thousand times.
The only odd behaviour I noticed was the -f parameter I supplied to
testsaslauthd. Do I need to configure saslauthd with the extra /mux in
the path ???
Any help will be appreciated it. I'm about to quit and go back to
sendmail+spamassasin+MIMEDEFAN which works just a little slow compared
to POSTFIX.
Thanks
Luis
