How important are those 3-5 customers to you?

If your complaining users are such a tiny minority, you might end up
better off if you encouraged them to go to a different service
provider; it might not be worth engineering a fix to this in your
own setup.

Or, you could engineer the fix the simple way, as Greg Woods
indicated in his second posting; set up a separate non-filtered
domain, with a separate non-filtering MTA on it, and let your 3-5
customers use their email account in that non-filtering domain.
