I use maildrop, and I always try to filter on a "list" header, since some
people include the mailing list address in a TO:; some in a CC:; etc. Check
the headers of a mail list post.

From my .mailfilter:

  to "Maildir/.Libranet"
  
  if ( /^X-Mailing-List: .debian-news.lists.debian.org/ )
  to "Maildir/.Debian-News"
  
  
  if ( /^List-Post: .mailto:postfix-users.postfix.org/ )
  to "Maildir/.Postfix"

All my posts from Libranet, et al, are properly filtered.
