Question regarding user@domain@routingdomain virtuser tables

Hello

Given the following entry in /etc/postfix/virtuser
                @[viruscheckip]
the mail to this user is given to port 25 if the viruscheckip and then
returned by amavis on another postfix smtpd instance. So far I understood.

But this second smtpd daemon has no "virtusertable=" entry. I would have
thought that it uses the same virtual file. How does it know that it
should not route the mail again (=> looping) the mail through the
viruschecker? I mean it works fine but I would be happy to know how it
works. Does it look at the senders IP and compares it to the routing
domain part?

(I know about content_filter to use for amavis but this would be much
better)

thanks,

-christian-
