We're currently running an older snapshot (20011217) and multiple instances.
Postfix was compiled with a config directory '/usr/local/postfix/etc/mail'
(inbound) and then we run a second instance (outbound) with its config
directory '/usr/local/postfix/etc/smtp' and either set MAIL_CONFIG or use
'-C ...' to run it.
I'd like to upgrade to the newer 1.1.7 snapshots and a little unsure of
the new 'alternate_config_directories' parameter, I assume it should simply
be set like so but wanted to double check if this is correct:
/usr/local/postfix/etc/mail/main.cf (#1 Postfix)
alternate_config_directories = /usr/local/postfix/etc/smtp
config_directory = /usr/local/postfix/etc/mail
...
I guess this is where I'm a little confused and not sure if the
'alternate_config_directories' needs to be specified here or just in
the (default) 'main.cf' above.
/usr/local/postfix/etc/smtp/main.cf (#2 Postfix)
alternate_config_directories = /usr/local/postfix/etc/mail
config_directory = /usr/local/postfix/etc/smtp
...
