maybe what mail systems administrators should do is to go postal for
every RFC violation - take a leaf out of the postal worker's book and
come to work with loads of ammunition.

RFCs will finally get the respect they deserve.

PS: also, replacing Duck Season with Spammer Season would greatly reduce
the amount of spam AND be good for the environment without infringing on
the god-given rights of gun-toting loonies to splatter the guts of
living creatures all over the ground. it would be a win-win situation :)
