It may work but you're loosing some of the effectiveness of it by
excluding your local users from the check. I'd much rather have it
rejected back to the user (when they make a typo, etc.) right away
than to have it wind up sitting in the queue as undeliverable, plus
the user gets immediate feedback and can hopefully see and fix the
problem themselves and then resend the message.
We've found it much simpler to just get rid of the garbage, etc.
right off the bat and be done with it.
