hi sean,

Did you try the canonical file ?
add something like this :

sallen sean dot allen at domain

Compile this file into canonical.db :
postmap /etc/postfix/canonical
and activate the feature in main.cf :
uncomment canonical_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/canonical

It should work !

Thanks
JP

Subject: Alias question

I am trying forward mail addressed to firstname dot lastname at domain to
using the /etc/postfix/alias file, I have tried...

firstname.lastname: user

firstname\.lastname: user

"firstname.lastname": user

"firstname\.lastname": user

I have checked the alias man page, and I am not making progress.

Thank you for any help you can offer.
