Something like that. The idea is that you can run a separate agent on port
587 for your clients that need a mail relay. That way you lock down port 25
so it doesn't relay at all. In general most are just running the same
application as on port 25.

It is also very useful if your ISP blocks outbound connections on port 25
like earthlink does and you want to use your own mail-server for a relay.
