Hi,
I would like to be able to specify which outgoing interface is used, based
on which domain a mail is coming from. Since I will be hosting multiple
domains, its not quite as simple as setting $myorigin = $mydomain, since
that apparently only lets me bind one interface for outgoing mail. A
similar request I found in the archives from 1999:
http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/postfix/1999-q4/0917.html
An example:
hostname is oak.iu13.k12.pa.us
I am hosting two domains on this box: iu13.k12.pa.us and iu13.org.
Checking the headers, I see that mail appears to come from
oak.iu13.k12.pa.us regardless of which I domain I send it from. What I
want it to appear as is coming from mail.iu13.k12.pa.us when sending from
iu13.k12.pa.us and to appear as coming from mail.iu13.org when coming from
iu13.org. In other words, what I connect to via SMTP inbound is what I
want showing up on my outbound message.
See the header of this email to see where it comes from. I don't want it
to say oak, I want it to say mail (and if I had set my SMTP server to
mail.iu13.org, which is a domain we are transitioning to, I would want the
message to show up as coming from mail.iu13.org, not oak.iu13.k12.pa.us).
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Kevin
