We found the opposite; proxies for busy servers would segfault every
half-hour or so. It pretty much crippled our webmail system.
The problem was that up-imapproxy's SSL code wasn't thread safe, and we
were running on parallelised systems (SPARC T2000s). If you're going to
run it in a similar environment, be sure to use 1.2.6rc1, which has our
fixes.
