I ran reconstruct on the element in question, and then had success
with squatter.
/usr/local/cyrus/bin/squatter -srv user.clp.Trash
(shoots foot)
/usr/local/cyrus/bin/reconstruct -rf user.clp
/usr/local/cyrus/bin/squatter -srv user.clp
(succeeds)
