Hi

I'm using cyrus 2.1.9 with sasl 2.1.7
here is my imapd.conf
configdirectory: /var/imap
partition-default: /usr/local/cyrus/imap
unixhierarchysep: yes
allowanonymouslogin: yes
allowplaintext: yes
admins: cyrus
logtimestamps: yes
plaintextloginpause: 1
singleinstancestore: yes
duplicatesuppression: yes
sieveusehomedir: false
sievedir: /var/imap/sieve
hashimapspool: false
sieve_maxscriptsize: 128
sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd
tls_cert_file: /var/imap/imap.crt
tls_key_file: /var/imap/imap.key

and my /usr/local/lib/sasl2/Cyrus.conf
pwcheck_method: saslauthd

I use saslauthd with pam, and all works well with plain text password, but,
for digested passwords, cyrus (or sasl) keeps trying to use sasldb2. How
can I tell them to use saslauthd and not sasldb ?
If you wish you make use of digest passwords, then saslauthd can't do the job. You've gotta use auxprop for the sasl_pwcheck_method parameter. If you don't wish to use digest passwords at all, then add in the parameter sasl_mech_list: plain to imapd.conf.
