I presume that the 9th already holds the lock on .../cyrus.header?

It would be helpful to get backtraces of all the relevant imapds,
though probably the 8 are mostly identical.

Now how do I debug this?

I have a single-user Cyrus IMAP server, accessed via Mulberry 2.1.

I have 9 running imapd processes.

8 of them are waiting to get a lock on the file
   /home/imapd/users/user/hta/Linux/Counter/cyrus.header.

The 9th is waiting to get a lock on the file
/var/imap/user/h/hta.seen - which the other 8 have open.
Killing this process seems to resolve the conflict.

How do I find out what the root of the problem is?
