Hi,
I already have built and use for many months now the Cyrus IMAP server and
now I am trying to get the smlacap server up and running and have some
problems.
First of all, even though the package is not new there are some problems
building it, know problems that is (I searched the mailing list archive and
found references to the same problem earlier):
1. the /et/ directory is missing. I used the one from my imap build but
should the package be fixed once and for all?
2. I had to add manually -I../et to the Makefile in the frontend directory
since com_err.h could not be found otherwise.
Now, with these problems fixed one way or another, I build and install the
server, tlenet to it and try to follow the test as described in the docs:
telnet localhost acap
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
* Acap (Implementation "SML Frontend, Carnegie Mellon Project Cyrus")
(ContextLimit "100")
1 AUTHENTICATE "ANONYMOUS" "larry"
1 No "no mechanism available"
What do I have to do to get the authentication mechanisms? As you can see,
I get none listed.
Thanks,
Avi
