IMAP is a protocol. MySQL is a RDBMs. I'm not seeing the relationship
here. Even if you could store your mail in MySQL, how would it get there,
or be retrieved? That's the idea of IMAP.

And what benefit would there be to having the mail in a MySQL database.
Seems like unneeded overhead to me.
