Well this ended up being an embarrassing issue: I never had the SQL
module installed for SASL! (libsasl2-modules-sql)
I would really be ashamed if it weren't for the complete lack of error
messages. Postfix and SASL really didn't seem to care I was trying to
use an invalid module!
Maybe I should get off Debian's testing branch...
