I'm new to the list and could better shut my mouth, but then I never do.
I hate other peoples' (including RH's) rpms (make my own *if I have
to*,) run RH 7.2.
Installed my own Openssl 0.9.7b, Cyrus 2.1.13, Openldap 2.1.19,
Sleepycat BDB 4.1.25 from source. (Done it with many different versions,
for the past 15 months.) Tested saslauthd, Openldap DIGEST-MD5 and PLAIN
and much more.
For me, everything has always worked precisely as documented by Cyrus
and everyone else, out of the box. Installing conflicting proprietary
rpms can fsck up everything almost irreparably.
