But, next time I reboot, I'll have

After rebooting with the new kernel, I've run ./index -D again, this time, no
errors. I'm afraid of running ./index -S because it takes all day to return the
database status. Is there some other, quicker way of getting that status? My
indexing has used up a total of about 35GB's so I'm sure that's why it's taking so
long to return a status.
