AW: [aseek-users] Does aspseek have a SCRIPT_NAME variable override?Markus,

It looks like it'll have to be a small wrapper script. I tried a cgi include statement, which obviously didn't work.

Simply put, I'd like 1 - 3 text links to amazon.com products to appear at the top...totally based on the keyword=$QF, but it isn't a matter of simply saying, "Search Amazon.com for $QF". It is more of: "Here are three relevant book results from doing a search on Amazon.com for $QF", and placing these three relevant books, their title, and link at the top of the s.htm. Think of it as a search within a search.

So, I'll study a bit more on writing the wrapper script. Thanks!

does this links have to be "script-generated"?

if not you can easily set a link to amazon search site with

  Books <b>$q</b><br>

so there will be a link with the entered search query.

if you want a script, that set links based on query you can either write a small wrapper script vor s.cgi or you can set a link like

          <a href="/cgi-bin/jump?query=$QF">Books</a>

and in this script you redirect to the appropriate amazon page...

Does aspseek have a variable to override Apache's SCRIPT_NAME variable?

I'd like some things to display on the resulting page, specifically a text
link from a pool of links from my Amazon.com affiliate page.

So, if someone searched for "Albert Einstein", I'd like a text link from
Amazon.com directly related to "Albert Einstein" to appear at the top of
s.htm, as a result of an include statement.
