Is it possible to start searchd from inetd rather than letting the
daemon run continuously?
If yes, on a site that gets relatively little use, would this be a
sensible move? searchd is taking up a lot of memory to say it's not
being used most of the time.
And if this is a sensible move, any suggestions as to the appropriate
entry in inetd.conf?
